2025 Viking SENSO Reunion
The 2025 Viking SENSO Reunion was an overwhelming success. We went back to North Island, where most passed through Bldg 797 while learning to be a SENSO at VS-41. We held multiple events in and around Naval Air Station North Island, including a Sunday morning group shot at Flag Circle. The reunion was held in San Diego from August 7–10, with SENSOs and their significant others traveling from across the United States, as well as one attendee from Australia, to reconnect, tell sea (and air) stories, and honor their fallen brothers and sisters. It was truly a joyous event with approximately 125 participants over the four days. Great appreciation for the reunion committee that worked two years to bring this event to fruition: Brett Robinette, Karen Maule, Mark Hall, Don Branagan, Jorge Rodriguez, Scott McCollum, Randy Tyle, Greg Bules and Scott Murdock. Special thanks to the committee chair Blair Smith for the vision, passion and energy that inspired the committee and ensured the spectacular success of the reunion.
2023 Viking SENSO Reunion
What started over drinks and a push from Jay to Blair—“You are the perfect person to put this together”—ignited the vision for our first 2023 reunion and officially launched the VSA organization. While the historic USS Midway in San Diego hosted a solemn memorial service and dedication to honor the lives, service, and enduring brotherhood of departed SENSOs, the gathering extended well beyond the flight deck. Shipmates came together across the Coronado Bay for days filled with fellowship, shared dinners, and unforgettable camaraderie, ensuring our fallen brothers' legacies are never forgotten while reconnecting those still here.
